100 word challenge #30

The 100 word challenge is back after the holidays, here’s Noemie’s text for this week:

The holidays had just began, when he started his first day of work. This city wass dead, there was almost nobody in the street and the weather was as gloomy as ever. And nothing important has ever happened.
As he finished eating his breakfast, he took the keys of his car and went to work. Yes, this man is a policeman. Unfortunatly, in a city where nothing happens, this kind of job isn’t the most interesting. They had been on the death of Mme. Dellarue for two months, even though she was dead of natural causes, a sickness.
When he entered in his office, he turned on the light, put the bag on the chair and started his computer. But to do what? There was nothing to do. So he looked in his cupboard to see if his secretary had anything for him to do ; and when he oppened the cupboard door, he saw…. that nothing was inside, as every day. Yes, in this city there really is nothing happening.

Why not take a look at the other work  here?

The 100 word Challenge Week #26

This week’s text comes from Faust in 3B:

When I was little, we went in north of France during the holidays.

We slept in a little house, it was yellow and white. Often the weather was bad, it rained a lot but sometimes the sun shone. Next to the sea, there are a lot of wind and very often I went with my father on the beach with our kite, it was a red bird. One day we were on the beach and it was a kite competition.

My father said: « Look up, can you see the dragons, the monsters and the blue one, can you see them ? »

We had to be careful to not touch the others kites.

The 100 Word Challenge #24

This week’s theme was to celebrate World Book Day  by rewriting a fairy tale.

While you have been surrounded by books to revise for exams you probably haven’t had time to read any good ones, so here is

this week’s story, written by the wonderfully motivated Valseska in class 3A:

She had skin as fair as snow, lips that were red like the blood shed of a forgotten soldier from WWII,

and the hair Rapünzel’s prince would’ve dreamed of climbing with.

One day, she came across a little cottage on which a burgundy-coloured front door were inscribed the words:

« Heres be dwell’n the sev’n dwarves »

And she was surprised to find the door unlocked in the middle of the night in such dangerous woods.

She hesitated a bit, then decided to open the door, as she was exhausted and needed to stop and ask for directions

anyway. When suddenly, as she opened the door, all at once, a German pig, a talkative donkey, a green ogre,

a grand female dragon and a mischevious fairy all yelled out « HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRINCESS FIONA!!! » after

which EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR JAWS DROPPED, and our heroine ended the story with a quick and

rather awkward« Oh sorry… to interrupt your evening… Bye 😳«

This week…

Did you have a good holiday? Are you ready to go back to school?

….pushing through the earth….

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and have a look out for my new shoes this week 🙂

100 Word Challenge Week #21

Here’s Benjy’s story for this week’s challenge;

It was in 1998 , lots of people were fed up of losing one sock everytime their mother washed them.Everybody was angry and meetings were held across the country to find an answer, even the president came. Everybody made their own proposition. One person wanted to stop washing socks , another suggested not wearing them but no ideas were good . It was a big problem. We voted and finally it was decided to  make socks which were magnetized and everybody was happy, but the problem was then they were too expensive so the state gave them to everybody.

This Week…

100 Word Challenge #20

This week’s entry is by Carlos from class 3A:

After an amazing afternoon on the beach, we were very tired and wanted to come back home, but we didn’t know the way back and we got lost in the beach.

Suddenly, we found a man that was hiding, we asked him why was he hiding, he answered that he was an alien that was being searched by NASA, because they wanted to eat him, apparently alien meat was delicious and very nutritious.

We felt bad for him so we decided to protect him.

Later that night, he told us to look at his spaceship, but all we could see was water, then he disappeared.

100 Word Challenge #18bis!

Again I couldn’t decide which story to enter in the 100 Word Challenge, so I’m entering two!

This one is by Eleazar in 3ème:

It was when I still was superintendent. I had been researching the teacher who killed all his class in primary school for more than 10 months. But I couldn’t give up for one reason : my daughter was in her class. I had seen her many times so I knew I would be able to recognize her. This day I was walking in a strange street. I can’t remember why. But when I saw this pair of pink ballet shoes I remembered one little but crucial thing: this teacher used to wear them. In fact they was her only pair of shoes. I immediately called the police and told them to send my men to this address. I looked carefully at this strange red wooden house. There was nothing in but a ladder. I decided to enter. The door wasn’t locked. I turned the handle. I entered. She was there …

100 Word Challenge #18

This week we were given a picture prompt  by 100 Word Challenge. I recieved some great work, here’s Nour’s:

Yesterday, my mom sent me grocery shopping because we were out of butter, and she needed butter for her lemon cake. So I went. At the store, I grabbed the butter along with a pack of chips really fast to come back faster but it was useless since the cashier took 3 hours to check out this stuff.
On the way back home I walked along the Meyer’s house. Maggie’s house.
We used to spend hours dressing up Barbies and arguing about who’d get to wear the rainbow puffy skirt (well, actually, whose Barbie’d get to wear the rainbow puffy skirt.)
But the past has passed.
I sighed and continued walking, the perspective of a good cake making me happy.
